May forever ba? (A random insight) LOL

I am posting about this not because I have a love life (lol) or what but simply because I'm bombarded with this topic probably everyday of my life. Why do we always ask this question to ourselves, our friends, or even with strangers "Naniniwala ka ba sa forever?" or even exclaim "Walang forever!" as if we know for sure it's true. Haha! Natatawa ako actually because I didn't want to blog about this until something triggered me to do so. So story time, my brother had a relationship I think for more than 7 years with a girl and my mom being a mom asked him "Bakit kayo pa ba? Hindi na diba?" Lol. On my mind, I'm thinking 'WTH Ma. Mind your own lovelife with Papa' pero wala I just listened on their conversation. And my younger brother said they broke up since January. And to my surprise, my mom said "O mabuti yan maghiwalay kayo, may boyfriend na siya diba nagpopost pa sa facebook? Hindi talaga siguro kayo ang tinadhana. Makakahanap karin siguro architect din." I laughed and died a little on the inside. What the f, ma? So all of these years she didn't think of the girl to be my brother's destiny/soulmate/forever or whatever you call it? 😁😁😁

It's funny because scenarios like these often happen to you, to us, to everyone. We think that "someone" we found is the "one" and enjoy ourselves not knowing what will happen next. Sometimes relying our destinies to the stars or through the rocks which goes with the expression "Itaga mo sa bato, walang forever!" something like that. The thing is, I myself don't know if I have my so-called "forever" I just trust that "If it's meant to be, it will be." Yep, that was a song. Hahahaha! I dunno, I'm not that kind of person who dwell too much on the future and think about that "someone" who may or may not exist at all. We only live once they say, if you have someone right now, just enjoy each others company because at one point he or she is your forever.

Forever is just a concept made by humans who love, and believe in love. It's like an existential question in a way, diba? What I'm trying to point out is that we must not waste our energy, our faith, our life even for concepts like "May forever ba?" when we ourselves may cease to exists anytime soon as to that so-called "forever" because the answer to it does not simply answer a Yes or No. It's more than that. It's more than the question itself. The answer lies in you, it lies within us.

So, will you keep on asking if there's a "forever"? 😉

I recently discovered this gem and I think I'll stick to it since I've only been exercising for like, less than a month; I also love that there are events section in this app wherein you can join in, compete and be motivated with other Pacers users 💙💪🏻
Btw, this is a free app but you can get subscription for a more personal fitness trainer/guide if you want to. 😊

▪️Podcasts (This app has a special place in my heart, I feel like users who don't use this app missed half pf their life. Lol seriously though, it's a better alternative for scrolling through facebook. There are lots of podcasts to subscribe to - this app is definitely one of my brain food! ♥️

▪️ YouTube (Of course I can't miss out on my fave YouTube channels 😁)

  4. StumbleUpon (One of my favorite platforms - interesting articles & websites everywhere. When I'm bored enough, I could read hundreds of articles in a day. 😋
  5. Pinterest (This platform way too awesome - I mean, you can find inspiration or motivation just by thousands of related interests! 👏
  6. Twitter (@yoyoyats)
▪️ Safari (I rarely browse in here, unless redirected by apps. LOL)

▪️ Productivity (These apps somehow make me productive. Hehe)

  5. Keeper (This app is where I keep my passwords and government IDs)

  1. Dropbox (A file hosting app I use to access my files and photos from phone to desktop or vise versa. Very helpful for work, also for personal "stuffs")
  2. Foodie (My favorite and the only selfie app on my phone. Works like magic - you'll look more beautiful, kahit mukhang haggard ka na I swear gaganda ka dito bes! 😊
  3. Shareit
  4. GCash (My previous job required me to have a GCash so I have this app & a debit card, it's quite convenient actually since it's a Mastercard, I can load up my sim (up to 10% rebate), pay in-app purchases, & shop online for the most part. Yay! I think you can also register American Express (AMEX) thru GCash but I haven't tried it yet.

  7. Airbnb (Perfect for home & vacation rentals, you can also book experiences & tours for travel)
▪️Duolingo (Where I learn other languages - I'm still stuck on my French lessons though, 😄)

▪️Investagrams (I'm into speculating stocks lately and try to learn as much as I can in the stock market. It's a good platform for beginners like me, I guess. You can try virtual trading, live charts, informative articles and such. 👍

▪️Phone (I don't use this much since I have a separate phone for calls & texts so I'm always in Airplane mode)

▪️ Chrome (An all-time web browser for sure)

▪️ Spotify (I cannot live without this app, seriously I forgot what phones were like before Spotify. lol)

▪️iZip (I know for sure you cannot just download stuffs on an iphone, this app is most useful for zipped or rar files)

▪️eBook Downloader (I use this for downloading free ebooks, hence the name

▪️ Just Dance Now (I got into this app because of my cousin - I kinda like it, you basically dance using your phone as the console. Great for exercise!)

▪️ AirConsole (Also an online video game console, using smartphones as gamepads and play with friends! No need for Wii or Xbox. 👏

And that's a wrap! I don't have much apps. I stick to what's useful, convenient and at the same time entertaining for me! 👍

Suggest an app for me to try - you can comment down below! Hehe 💚💜💛💙

SHEET MASKS Review!

Yay! One of my favorite things to do - sheet masking! Today I'm going to share some of the sheet masks I use and their benefits on the face. 😊

I've purchased quite a lot actually, some of them I've already used and some still unused. I'll review some of the sheet masks I've tried and see for yourself if its worth trying too!

I kinda hoarded on these masks during winter season - not that the Philippines has winter season, I just went on and shopped for I think hundreds of sheet masks last year and until now I haven't used them all! (Major hoarder. LOL)

JayJun Black Mask

My favorite actually is the JayJun Real Water Brightening Black Mask which costs around P120 ($3 or less) - it's one of those 3 step masks wherein the Cleanser, Essence and Sheet Masks are incuded in one pack. Sobrang sulit and convenient nito for travelling yun lang medyo pricey siya. 😐
COSRX Holy Moly Mask

My second favorite mask is the COSRX HOLY MOLY Snail Mask - I don't know if this is phased out now but I can't find it na from the online store which I bought it from before, it's also around P120 (more or less $3) - it contains snail mucin which is good for fading acne scars and at the same time provides moisture on the skin. It's also very pricey - not recommended for daily sheet masks kasi butas ang bulsa mo for sure! Hehe Anyways, this mask is still great!

Next on my faves are the INNISFREE IT'S REAL SQUEEZE MASKS - it comes in so many variants I honestly can't pick my favorite among them all! You can choose from Lime, Aloe, Acai Berry, Shea Butter, Rose, Manuka Honey, Bamboo and so much more. What I love most about Innisfree is that it's super eco-friendly, plus it's pretty affordable, you can buy it for around P40-50 (less than a dollar!) I can't stress my love for these masks! Their honestly one of the best in the market!

Also on the list of honorable mentions (lol) which you can buy for a dollar or less:

Nature Republic Sheet masks
IT'S Skin Sheet Masks
EUNYUL (Collagen, Pearl & Vitamin) Sheet masks
Pure Source Cell Sheet Masks
Holika Holika Sheet Masks

나는 슈퍼 사랑한다!
Super 👍👍👍👍👍

I believe most of them are available in leading online stores such as:

Happy shopping!

Health Review: Sante Barley Pure Barley Food Supplement

My family - my mom particularly is into "organic" stuffs lately so I decided to review a Food Supplement for a change.

We ordered this Sante Barley Pure Barley From New Zealand claims to contain vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll and caroteniods. The young barley grass in this product is dried and milled into a fine powder that could be mixed in cold water or into your favorite liquid beverage.

I was hooked into this partially because of my mom (lol) and partially because I wanted to get my bowels regulated. It has a lot of benefits though, if you didn't know Barley is an excellent source of fiber which helps regulate bowel, helps reduce heart diseases. So yay! I'm no expert you can look it up on the internet to know its benefits and how you can incorporate it in your diet.

It basically just taste like grass - yeah, as in green grass because that's what it is basically. For me though it kinda tasted like those bottled soy milk drink, so the taste was tolerable for me just don't think of it as a grass and you'll be fine. A pack of this food supplement a day is recommended it doesn't say how much you can drink in a day so I guess at least one glass per day!

I hope you found this helpful. (Hehe)
This Sante Barley Food Supplement is not, and cannot be taken as a MEDICINE - it is only a food supplement so, if you feel like trying this, go buy some! 😊

Hit up my link in Lazada to shop! 💚

SKIN CARE Review: My Daily Routine

I'm no skin-care guru, pero ever since I've graduated from college medyo na-conscious ako sa aking face kasi way back 2010's wala akong pake sa aking skin - particularly my face, for reals! And then, when the Korean wave hit PH, I suddenly wanted to be a Hallyu Star! Lol. (IYKWIM)

I assumed I can have that Korean glow through imitating the products that their using - yep, that's my first introduction to Korean skincare. Before talaga, I didn't know what to do, I was really overwhelmed kasi naman may 10 step skincare, and then 5 step, and terms if I haven't heard before. In short, nawindang ako! 😂

Thankfully, there's YouTube and Google to enlighten me. Now, I am maintaining a somewhat semi-Korean skin care  (haha)- and it's not the ten-step BTW. It's actually pretty simple so without further ado, here are the steps & the products I use on a daily basis:

STEP 1: CLEANSERS

So cleansers are basically anything that cleanses the face (lol). And I don't want to complicate my description of it because a cleanser's job description is to obviously CLEAN THE FACE. One thing to note though, choose the right cleanser for your skin type - dry, combination, oily, sensitive. (Don't know your skin type? Look it up on the internet or go to a Derma clinic)

Since I'm aware I'm more of a combination skin and acne prone skin, I regularly use CETAPHIL Gentle Skin Cleanser day and night but mostly at night. It's a mild, non-irritating, noncomedogenic (meaning it doesn't clog your pores), water-like texture plus it doesn't have a scent so perfect for daily use. I kinda use it as a make-up remover because number one - I don't have a make-up remover and number two - I rarely use make-up naman so I just apply this after a long haggard day to remove the dirt I acquired from my polluted surroundings.(😂) I bought this 250ml at Watsons for around P700-ish, I believe it is also available in Lazada I think for a cheaper price. I can recommend this to any skin type especially those who have sensitive ones kasi it really doesn't irritate the skin and at the same time cleanses it pa. Thumbs up ako with this product although it's kinda pricey for a student. Pero I think carry na if good results naman kapalit diba? 😉
RATING:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The second cleanser is the COSRX Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser - I know this cleanser's kinda hyped na pero super amazing and cheap kasi siya! I bought this I think for less than P500 and on average it lasts me for about 2-3 months. Yay diba? Imagine I don't have to regularly purchase for cleansers kasi 1 tube nito is 150 ml and you'll only need a pea size of it. It has a PH level of 4.5-5 (hence the name Low PH), clear gel formula siya and it's not drying, personally I think it prevents future breakouts. (haha) May konting scent siya pero for me it's bearable unless sobrang sensitive ng pang-amoy I think it'll work for anyone. I love this cleanser, in fact I think it'll take a while for me to find another cleanser as good as this one! BTW, it can be also used at night - don't be fooled by the name! 😀💙
RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

STEP 2: TONER

After cleansing, next is toning. In my recent routine, I've been using this Son & Park Beauty Water (in trial bottle) kasi nga I've emptied my previous toner which is the COSRX AHA/BHA Claryfing Toner (also an awesome toner, FYI) that's why I wanted to try this so-called Beauty Water. It smells like Eskinol (If you don't know what Eskinol is hit the link 😁)  pero less alcohol-y siya. Texture is also like water, clear, walang kung ano. It's advertised as an all-in-one water - make up remover, toner, mild exfoliator, etc but I'm particularly using it as a toner. I don't have a detailed review on this product yet since I got this just a week ago but so far, so good!
RATING: ⭐⭐⭐

 STEP 3: MOISTURIZE

After toning, be ready to moisturize. I use this MIZON Snail Recovery Gel Cream. Like the Cosrx Cleanser, this is also in gel type so it's clear and pretty much non-sticky. I really hate kasi those heavy creams where in you feel as if something is pasted on your face. I always opt for gel moisturizers and also the good thing about this is that it's also multi-functional (I like everything multi-functional. LOL) It can be used as a regular moisturizer (para hindi sobrang dry ng skin, ps: even oily skin needs to moisturize) or for recovering acne, although frankly I did not see much of a difference on my acne marks - I can say that I only used this as a moisturizer. Hehe. But nonetheless, good stuff!
RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
STEP 4: EYE CREAM

Some people stop at Step 3 which is a major NO-NO! According to my research and skin care experts, you should start as early as your 20's on your eye cream game. It didn't occur to me that once you hit your 20's few lines will eventually come out maybe due to stress, extreme happiness (from laughing. LOL), and other factors which will sag our precious eyes and ever heard that "crow's feet" Yeah, to prevent that from occurring or to somehow slow down the ageing process - put an eye cream! By the way, I'm using this MIZON Snail Repair Eye Cream 😊
RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

STEP 5: SUN SCREEN

Protect your face from UV rays they say, apply sunscreen everyday they say, and I did! In the morning, before putting powder or apply cushion (which is like applying make-up for me) I put on this BIORE UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel - and again, it's gel type although this time it is NOT a clear gel. This sunscreen (sun gel or whatever the hell it is) is a watery kind of sunscreen, SPF50+ PA++++ (what's with the +) , and unlike other sunscreens it is not sticky and too tinted. I bought this at Watsons but I know it's also available in online stores such as Lazada and Beautymnl. BTW, Biore is a Japanese brand and I've read really great reviews about it so I'm planning to buy more products from Biore in the future. But anyway, this sun watery gel is amazing, also I bought last year pa and it's March so a little goes a long way, alam na! 😉
RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you want to shop for all the products I've mentioned you can check the links on each product. 😊

MAGAZINE Review - Womenkind Magazine

I recently discovered this magazine since this March we've celebrated International Women's Day so I feel like reviewing an awesome magazine! 😍

It's such an underrated mag, but all I can say is I'm amazed. I've only read a few magazines in this lifetime (lol) but it's definitely one of my faves now! Womenkind Magazine is an ad-free newsstand women's magazine aiming to find a broad demographic of smart women interested in big ideas about philosophy, sociology and psychology according to Wikipedia.

Excerpt from Womenkind Magazine February 2018

I remember I only intended to scan through the pages of it because the front page just screamed at me, and what blew me most is its picturesque artwork and photography, and of course, every article just made perfect sense, just perfect for anyone to reflect upon. I got  the February 2018 issue and all I can say is that it is kinda cool! I felt really empowered reading, appreciating the magazine because it is in itself, is an ART! Remember, it's also Ad-free so shout out to Womenkind Mag for not succumbing to commercialism, unnecessary marketing, and just keeping it classy!

Cushion Review: TROIAREUKE SEOUL AESTHETIC CUSHION!

Since I keep on hearing good things from my favorite Korean YouTube vlogger - Joan Kim about this cushion I've decided to purchase it and see for my self.  It is marketed as 1% Make-up 99% Skincare and I know for sure you'll wonder a much as I did if it's true!

Today I am going to review on Troiareuke Seoul Aesthetic Cushion (although ironically, the packaging looks pretty bad), I bought the Seoul cushion which by the way has darkest shade among its variants (Healing Cushion, A+ Cushion, Seoul Cushion) because we all know how light Korean cushions tend to have. So as a self proclaimed morena I guessed my shade would probably fit Seoul cushion the most and thankfully it did!

Here's what it looks like in real life: (Sobrang aesthetic, right? 😏

fv
Do not fret, kahit ganyan itsura niyan in person don't underestimate this product dahil sa packaging niya. I mean, yeah it looks pretty basic pero yung real-life performance niya is bomb. It's like a MFBB (My face but better kinda cushion) LOL believe me when I say so. I have a lot of blemishes (as in marami akong chismis sa mukha) but this thing works like magic making your face appear flawless and smoother. Although, it's not full coverage so it's not like matatakpan niya lahat ng chismis sa mukha mo or something, it has light coverage - sakto lang for everyday wear. For me, it's perfectly fine because I'm a certified lazy girl so a little *pat pat pat works for me!

If you're looking for a more detailed information about this cushion, take time to read:
Taken from Stylekorean.com

I got it for Php2,000 (about $38) I think. Although it retails around $38-46 if I'm not mistaken.
You can only shop it online since there's no Troiareuke physical store here in PH:

You can also buy it here:

Happy shopping! 💗💙💚💛💜

Exercise during your PERIOD? Is it okay?

Today I'm on red alert! Yes, that time of the month where we're supposed to discharge gallons of "dirty" blood for days or even weeks (for some). And yes, this day is probably the most annoying, most crazy and most bothersome for all the girlahs! Ugh. And yes, this is also "that" time of the month when I'd like to turn back time and be born as a male homo sapien. 😂

On that note, can the V handle exercise on these days?
Hmm. According to my research, exercise during your period is actually beneficial for you - except for YOGA! Thank God I don't do yoga. Based on this article by womenshealthmag.com:

Ayan so to sum it up - YES, you can exercise during your period, girlfriends! On the beginning of your cycle - light exercises can do. When you feel a lot better (patapos na ang menstrual period), you can do your usual strength training routines, and maybe cardio (after your period). And of course, you can totally take some day offs!

Like Nike's tagline ---- Just do it, girl! 😉

P.S. This isn't a review blog. Sorry for this random post. I felt extra productive today. 💚

A lazy girl's guide to Minimal MLBB LIPS!

I've always been the lip-tint-powder kinda girl! So it'll not come as a surprise if the only thing in my bag (or makeup bag 😊) is a LIP PRODUCT. I feel like the lips are the highlight of any look. I mean, you can put on a lipstick and basically just go out and flaunt it!

I'm a certified lazy girl, so as much as possible I want to put anything that's quick and easy. No hassle, no frassle or whatever (if frassle's even a word. LOL)

Here are some of my favorite lip products (ever). Minimal. MLBB (My Lips But Better) everyday kinda lips! 😉

1. CHATEAU LABIOTTE Wine Lip Tint
I fell for the packaging! HAHA. Look how cutesy it is. I was sold at the genius packaging so I bought it not expecting anything pero gosh it surpassed my expectation. I got the shade OR01 which is more of an orange shade, I wanted to get the RD01 but it was sold out when I purchased so I opted for the Orange-y one and it did not disappoint. It lasts the whole day and I guess if you didn't remove your make-up it might last even the next day! Hehe. I can't say anything bad about this tint. I'm definitely gonna buy the LIPSTICK line as well, since I've read great reviews of it! Pero this tint I assure you is one of the best! Super like! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

2. TONY MOLY Tony Tint Delight
Well, I'll say it again. My absolute favorite lip/cheek tint! I've tried organic ones before pero this just works amazingly on me! Plus it is very cheap & can offer the same result as the high end ones! I super love this one, period! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a Christmas gift I think, and girl, I loved it! Perfect na perfect for My Lips But Better look. If you're really into minimal looks pero may AURA, you must have this. Subtle yung effect niya but it's there! Always a plus sa akin yung packaging, so packaging wise, AWESOME! This tint is definitely DAEBAK! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently got this baby in its travel size edition. And I super duper loooooveeee it! Plus it smell's so good. It's actually my second Laneige product and I feel like one of their selling points talaga is the scent of the products. Sobrang nakakafresh and sobrang relaxing lang. I put this on at night and voila! my lips looks plumped in the morning! Highly suggested for those who want to make their lips appear bigger and of course softer! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So, basically baka you'll think na I'm kinda biased on rating since the first four lip products I've rated all of them 5 stars (HAHAHA) Don't fret! That's my real impression and personal experience using those products, this one naman which is the Kate Moss Lipstick was a so-so. Maybe because the shade is bright pink I dunno pero I still keep it on my on-the-go MLBB lip products kasi there are days when we want to be extra. So for me, being extra means having a little color on the lips. So yeah, this bright pink Kate Moss Lipstick is also a must try. But more on the average side for ME! ⭐⭐⭐

This product is sent by the heavens! OMG I can't even! It has Vitamin E and Peppermint so it's very cool on the lips especially after applying and I love it! It keeps my lips from chapping since before I didn't really bothered applying lip balm because I'm annoying like that and buti nalang talaga I've purchased this balm and it changed my lip care routine kasi before I put on lipstick agad or lip tints lang which is soo soo wrong in so many levels! So perfect stars for Burt's Bees! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I forgot which line was this (haha) pero I have it in shade No. 280 Rum Riche and all I can say is that this is the perfect nude shade for me - Nude siya on the darker side (I want darker shade BTW) and very suitable for the office. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

And that's a wrap my girlfriends! If you're a late bloomer like me and is still experimenting on stuffs, I suggest you treat yourself a good lipstick/liptint! It's a guilt free investment! 😉😘

My very first KOREAN SKINCARE REVIEW!! 😍

I've been really into KOREAN SKIN CARE lately. Actually, since 2016 I guess? (I know this blog's already overdue 😅) I remember purchasing my very first skincare products online via ALTHEA Korea and I was ecstatic! Grabeng excitement for reals!

In millennial term, eto yung tinatawag na "Starter Pack" HAHA!
Taken from my Instagram
Here are the items I bought during my first purchase & also my personal rating and side notes:

Tony Moly Lip Tint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
All time fave lip & cheek tint. Still using it today! So much love for this tint since this was my very first introduction to liptints. Perfect for MLBB (My lips but better)

It's My Powder Brush ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's your usual powder brush but for a very cheap price! So definitely a steal!

Holika Holika Baby Pet Magic Mask Sheet ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This sheet mask was soooooo cute! I can't even. Hehe

Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What can I say, this gel is absolutely a cult favorite! Sobrang thumbs up daming benefits you can use it as a moisturizer, for acne, for hair, for burnt skin, rashes, fever, inflammation and the list goes on. A bang for the buck!

It's My Sun Cream ⭐⭐
This sun cream unfortunately isn't for my skin type (which by the way I'm combination skin) Medyo sticky yung feeling pero I guess it depends on the skin type talaga. I've read good reviews though, but it doesn't work for me.

You'll look like a panda in this eye patch, but I really wouldn't mind kasi naman bukod sa affordable siya sobrang soothing sa eyes! I super like!

That's all for now.
